This was a great listen. I knew nothing about this event going into it and Dan did a great job explaining everything and everyone without being boring. He does a great job at impartiality and just being a great guy that people want to talk to. He also pushes them a little and makes them think about their actions.

I'm in for anything Dan produces, and this podcast hasn't disappointed

An deep look into the trial of Navy Seal Eddie Gallagher for murder while on duty. It also gave a great look into the role of the Navy Seals and what we expect of them when we train them and deploy them. Shows that it is not all black and white

Riveting storytelling.

Devastating, tragic, and haunting. On one hand, the pain and death inflicted on innocent civilians is abhorrent, should be stopped, and should be punished when done by our soldiers deliberately and without remorse. On the other, our war machine doesn't concern itself with protecting soldiers from moral injury while ordering them to operate on and beyond the line dividing war from war crimes.

No easy answers here, but a detailed dissection of a moral dilemma we're encouraged not to think about.
