Done before I'm through my first cup of Coffee and it conveys almost everything I miss by skipping the network news channels. The Daily is part of my morning routine.
The daily is a part of my morning routine, and I honestly can't imagine starting my day without it. Wonderfully produced, as you'd expect, and Michael is a wonderful and knowledgeable host.
This is the New York Times' daily podcast. Rather than trying to cover all the current news, this podcast does an excellent job of really diving into one particular current event or issue at a time. Great journalism and some excellent interviews. This is easily one of my favorite news podcasts.
Stumbled onto this pod and started binge-listening while renovating our house last year. Now, I listen everyday, if not every second day. I'm not in the USA but find most episodes really interesting, The Daily is essentially my news catch up time.
To the point, extremely well researched, great presentation - no one does this better. So far!
I am always somewhat disappointed with conversations with this particular columnist/reporter because he seems slow to connect data. For example, today he pointed out that's the testimony of Sondland and others is one step removed from Trump. The conversation never got around to the infamous phone call, which, with the testimony of these people is pretty darn solid. It's true that Graham is going to say that Trump was badly served by these people, and they were operating on their own agendas. But, Trump gave it all away in the phone call. And once more, we already know that Graham has no intention of attending to the testimony and will not vote to convict. So where is the onus? On the evidence or on the Graham/Trump GOP bunch?
Being from Belgium, this podcast is interesting to me to get some background information on the news from the USA that reaches us over here.Being a daily :-) podcast there are plenty of headlines to choose from. And strangely, the majority is also relevant for a listener in the EU.Just to say that besides politics, there are a lot of other episodes to choose from if your interests go broader.
Some of the most excellent reporting available.
I want to testify about Hacker Judas blank ATM cards which can withdraw money from any ATM machines around the world. I was very poor before and have no job. I saw so much testimony about how Judas hackers send them the ATM blank card and use it to collect money in any ATM machine and become rich.Email : hackerjudas9@gmail.comGoogle chats : hackerjudas9@gmail.com
An entertaining way to tell the news.
My favorite morning new recap
Absolutely the best news podcast out there and Michael Barbaro is a king.
Very good - interview-based format which includes clips from news reports and other actuality, informing you about current news stories. It's the one podcast I regularly listen to.A slight problem is that it can be too long - '20 minutes' can be almost half an hour at times!
I love this podcast for the day to day, some of the tangent stories are interesting but sometimes not
This is how I start my weekday mornings every day. You should too.
I've listened to a few takes on this leak. There's not a real major plus or minus in this matter. I rank the Snowden leaks much much more important and emotionally draining on my point of view of the ethics of spying and double dealing.
Production quality is top notch. After all, it is the NY Times. My only knock is that they pretend to be impossibly objective journalist rather than embracing who they are. I think podcast should be 110% true to themselves. I LOVE opposing views and I'm willing to listen to both sides of any argument. 5 star production with 3 star authenticity. It's had to be a billion dollar brand!
Well done take on the news of the day. Love the hosts.
This is the definitive podcast to start your day with Michael Barbaro breaking down the news with precision and insight. His guest reporters are perfect for framing the news and helping you understand the importance of the events of the day. A true must listen.
My go to podcast when I'm looking for an update on current global news.
