Today on the podcast, we ask - war - *huh* - what is it good for? But most of all, we ask - is it better to do less in medicine?
We’ll be travelling back to the 1970s and watching MASH, the Korean War satire that led to one of the most successful television series of all time. We’ll be comparing it to the House of God, a cult novel among doctors from the same period. Both of these are fictionalised accounts based on a real doctor’s life, and they are known for their black comedy and freewheeling portrayal of sex. Do they still hold up today, or are they dated relics best left in the past?
