This is tough subject material to get through but it is thoroughly researched and produced It sheds light on a lot of dark corners of humanity I never knew existed
"It's natural to want to turn away from uncomfortable stories... The problem is you can't change what you don't understand, and you can't possibly understand the stories you avoid."Hunting Warhead reaches the most evil parts of humanity to expose disturbing truths. I have the utmost respect for the police & the journalists that help to hunt down people such as Warhead, and Daemon Fairless did an incredible job hosting this very sensitive podcast.
This podcast is harrowing. It is not light material but is sooo important. I highly recommend you check it out but make sure to have some lighter material to accompany it.
I have been thinking about what to say about this after finishing it today. This was a very tough listen for sure. It was so well done but the content was just so dark. I am happy that Warhead is not going to be out of jail anytime soon. But I know there are more people out there like him and that part scares me to death. Really top notch reporting. I would recommend this but be warned this gets dark fast.
One of the most compelling podcasts I've ever heard.
This was a fascinating podcast. It was beautifully plotted, with surprises right up to the last 30 seconds. I would love to know more about every single event, website, and person mentioned in this podcast. If it had been four times as long, I would have listened with interest. So good!
Stick with this right to the very last word.
Best podcast of 2019
Brilliantly examines the darkest part of our modern world without flinching and without sensationalism. I avoided this one despite all the rave reviews because of the subject matter but highly recommend it --- the heroes who devote their lives and talents to saving children from sexual abuse deserve our attention.
I hate to say this was a great podcast because the subject matter is so difficult, but it really was fantastic. This was a deep dive into the story of a pedophile who managed child abuse materials on the "dark web". It's a multifaceted look into things, from the police work of how they found him, to the psychology of pedophilia. It cuts deep and can really be hard to listen to, but it's excellent journalism.
brutal but addicting. the podcast equivalent to an episode of Black Mirror.
Not even sure how to start this review. This podcast is absolutely captivating and I wanted to listen to it nonstop. The story is presented exceedingly well and every angle is nuanced and explored. But this isn’t for the faint of heart and I hesitate to recommend listening to it because it is so painful to get through. I think it will leave a scar on most people who listen to it, particularly parents of young children. The information is harrowing and the central character is nothing short of a monster. You will probably cry or come close at various times during this podcast, and rightly so. All of the people interviewed are important and impactful, and each one provides a perspective that will shape how you interpret this story. But while I walked away feeling sad and angry, I also felt grateful and hopeful. Thankful that there are people capable and motivated to find and bring to justice perpetrators of child abuse. That even though the dark web is a Mecca for child abuse, it isn’t the untouchable black hole we think of it as. I also walked away with a lesson and, sadly, a permanent hole in the trust I have for people in general. It unfortunately is not enough for someone to be a friend or family member to trust them alone with your kids, I now realize the ease with which perpetrators can and will victimize children, even toddlers. This podcast will open your eyes to the realities of child sexual abuse and force you to reckon with one of the darkest parts of human existence and our duty to protect our kids from it.
This podcast is an impeccably researched, outstanding production that is a gripping, fascinating, and shocking gutpunch. Superb.
No doubt about it this subject matter is difficult. The podcast focuses on one person who runs a vast international network that serves paedophiles. It also introduces the international law enforcement organisations who are trying to rescue the children and close the sites down. It is sometimes hard to hear BUT in episode 5 in particular I learned so much that I did not know about paedophiles . When it starts, how it is triggered and more. My eyes have been opened. This program is well presented, the voice of the host is easy to listen to, the subject is sensitively discussed and it is a pretty gripping podcast to listen to. I recommend you give it a try.
Informative, interesting and analytical.
Really difficult to write a review on due to subject matter. But this is an extremely well put together podcast.it shows just how difficult it is to stop such acts being committed and then being shared.
Very well researched and high quality interviews and insight.
This podcast is so far ahead of anything I have ever listened to, I have a hard time understanding why I appreciate it so much. It is difficult to listen to and covers a subject you wish never existed and some of the content from people inside the story is very difficult to listen to and understand from their perspective. This podcast just makes me wonder how many people are doing this to kids and when they get caught on their own country, many flee and take jobs in education in so called third world countries where detection is scarce. The two Norwegians are the true heroes in this podcast, they were relentless in their pursuit and ventured so far to uncover the truth and unmask the criminals.
murder porn. wish CBC would stop advertising this rape/murder podcast
