RATING
Absolutely a charming podcast! A lovely little slice of life podcast about Sig, "The Chosen One" who definitely didn't choose that life. Well performed and just a lot of fun.
It's a fun, bite-sized comedy that spoofs fantasy tropes. I really enjoy Happy and Sig's friendship.
The story is in the title. A fun story with a simple premise that knew exactly what to do with it.A joy to pick up and power through or to take bit by bit. I don't know if they plan on making more, but even if not, I truly enjoyed it and would gladly hear more.
I think Sig is the best adventurer I've come across
A thoroughly fun comic fantasy about a baker who repeatedly refuses the call to adventure. The writing has tremendous fun with established fantasy tropes in a way that fans of Terry Pratchett or younger listeners who like Shrek will appreciate. At the same time, it's an inventive story of its own that builds over the course of the season. I can't wait to see what they've baked for the next season.
Surprisingly humorous and interesting! Wish there where more episodes!
The only sin of this podcast is not having a hundred episodes
This was super cute and a lot of fun. Slice of life in a fantasy setting.
A lot of fun poking holes at the fantasy adventure genre (especially a certain school for wizards).
Endearing show with a likeable cast of characters and an interesting approach to storytelling. This is a non-adventure - Sig is the chosen one but refuses to embark on world --saving quests or battle nefarious enemies under any circumstances. Instead he simply wishes to run his bakery and lead an ordinary life. However, the universe continually tests him with a variety of visitors and situations that require him and his friends/colleagues to work through problems calmly and reasonably. One season (and a special) is just not enough. We need more of this superb show!
My only complaint is that I wish there were more seasons! A clever premise, compelling characters, and fun dialogue.
